Tone Nails
Ultra-glam nails are the trend today. To dress longer length nails use
the "backflip" polishing technique.
Normally long nails with dark nail polish on top reveal boring white backsides
however the backflip technique applies a contrasting color to each side-a
dominant tone on top, and an accent tone underneath to make nails look
ultraglam!
To create the perfect backflip
a) Manicure the fronts and backs of nails, and dry thoroughly.
b) Polish nails, let dry, then apply a second coat, ensuring the
polish covers the nail tops, but does not seep beneath.
c) Turn over the hands and coat the nail undersides with a different
color, taking care to avoid getting polish on the hyponichium-the area
where the skin and nail meet.
d) Apply a second coat of polish to the undersides, let dry, then
seal the entire nail (front, back and all edges) with two layers of top
coat.
